Opening Spring 2021...

Welcome to our Glamping & Camping site. We hope you will enjoy following our progress towards our opening date in April 2021.

We are taking bookings now for 2021 so please contact us if you'd like to book early.

We relocated to France during the summer of 2019. We are semi-retired and have never been busier.

We have a 14 year old daughter who goes to school here and is enjoying the French countryside life as well as becoming bilingual.

We are now registered sheep farmers too with a small flock of 11 rare breed Balwen Welsh Mountain sheep.

We also have two beautiful heavy horses that we rescued last year. We also have chickens, ducks, two cats and a dog.

As part of our complete lifestyle change of moving from an urban English town into the French countryside,

we knew we wanted to open a small campsite.

The site is now under construction and will consist of seven 5mtr glamping bell tents.

Each tent will have a real double bed and two real single beds.

They will each have a small fridge, kettle and toaster. Each tent will contain everything you need for the kitchen.

You only need bring your clothes, towels and toiletries.

Breakfast - a continental breakfast can be delivered to you in a basket every morning if you would like. The cost will be between 6-8 euros. This can also include fresh milk and cereal for children if required.

A wash block is currently under construction housing two luxury showers and two toilets and a washing-up area.

There will be picnic benches for you to use as well as a bbq.

We are open to group bookings and already have interest from two UK churches with youth groups that would like to visit. Please do feel free to ask about group bookings and how we can accomodate you.

Other activities available will be cycle hire (on a first come first served basis) , fishing nearby, a full range of beauty treatments, fresh deliveries of croissants, pan-au-chocolate and baguettes delivered to your tent daily if you wish, welcome pack on arrival, a library book exchange booth, nature trails, tree swings for children and feeding the animals .We will also sell fresh eggs (subject to production of course) There will be a very helpful map displayed with pins to show you all the local places of interest to visit.

Here in Lonlay L’abbaye we have the most delightful little village that has all the essential shops such as a boulangerie, a delicatessen, a bank and cashpoint, a small petrol station, a hairdressers, a chemist and a lovely little bar selling French coffee or a glass of course, wine.

We also have a very well renowned biscuit factory that accepts visitors daily for tours of the factory. We have, a delicious ice-cream factory with ice-cream made from their huge herd of cows and a beer factory! (yes, this is the best place on earth to live!)

All of these will be available to purchase at the campsite.
